The MicroBooNE collaboration is currently operating a large 170-ton liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber (LArTPC) that is located on the Booster neutrino beam line at Fermilab. The experiment will measure low energy neutrino cross sections and investigate the low energy excess events observed by the MiniBooNE experiment. The detector also serves as a next step in a phased program towards the construction of massive kiloton scale LArTPC detectors for future long-baseline neutrino physics (DUNE) and is the first detector in the LAr-based short-baseline neutrino program at Fermilab.

The MicroBooNE Spokespeople are Bonnie Fleming (Yale University) and Justin Evans (University of Manchester). The collaboration consists of ~180 scientists from 36 institutions.
